My name is John McDermot, director of McDermot Research, a company devoted to professional genealogical research in Ireland.

I have been a professional genealogist for several years. I have successfully researched cases for clients in the U.S.A., Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Ireland & elsewhere.

What services do we offer ?

We provide full research on a given ancestor(s), including information on their year of birth (parents & earlier forebears (depending on available records) & their places(s) of origin in Ireland.
Records include parish records, civil records, Census records (the 1901 & 1911 Census returns are extant, some earlier returns survive), land records (including Valuation records from the 1850s & Tithe records from the 1820s-1830s), freeholder & voter records (where they exist), leases, wills (where they survive), etc.
We undertake research on wills & surnames (their origins, etc).
